</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Today was a walking day. I had volunteered to lead a walk with my walking club and as the sun was shining it would have been rude not to keep to the arrangement. 17 of us crossed from the North Bank of the Humber to the South Bank over the mighty Humber Bridge to meet up with a member of the walking group who lives on the South Bank. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We met at the Waters Edge Visitor Centre where, you can enjoy the view across The Humber and watch wild life on the surround ponds and enjoy the facilities of the centre and its café.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We left the visitor centre and set off west along the river bank going under the bridge.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As we continued along the river bank we kept an eye out for wild life and spotted this bird. Non of the group could say what it was however I checked my bird book when I got home and the nearest I could find was the Purple Sandpiper, but if you know better let me know.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Further along our route we had to make a detour as the path came to an abrupt end. The path had been diverted as the river bank had been breached and the path was no longer accessible. This meant we had to go further then initially planned however, it didn't put anything onto the mileage so we continued a little in land before picking up the river bank once again. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We continue along the river bank taking occasional breaks to take in the views and draw breath.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Eventually South Ferriby came into view so we decided it was time for lunch and sat along the river bank for a well earned rest. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After lunch we headed down into South Ferriby. I spotted this house which reminded me of a Grand Design type build but not to my taste. We carried along the road before heading down a path to the Far Ings Nature Reserve.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Through the reserve there were views of The Humber Bridge again and also an opportunity for a group photo.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
All in all a wonderful 8.5 mile walk suitable for a winters day. It was helped along by good company and wonderful sunshine, which of course I had ordered as I detest walking in the rain.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Back at the Waters Edge some of the group took advantage of the facilities at the visitor centre while some us decided to finish with a visit to The Ropery. This has a café, a little museum about the old Rope works a gift shop and art gallery.</div>

<br />
<br />
Hello again. I needed to make a card for my friends wedding anniversary and this is the design I came up with. Also having been away from the blog scene for quite some time I thought a challenge was needed and I noticed that Little Claire where doing a challenge with the Love theme <a href="http://littleclairesdesigns.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/monthly-blog-challenge-66-love-and.html">http://littleclairesdesigns.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/monthly-blog-challenge-66-love-and.html</a> so I thought I would enter this card.<br />
<br />
I used a 6" x 6" base card and matted a piece of sky blue foundation card onto it. I then took a piece of white card and embossed it using the <strong>Creative Expressions Bed of Rose embossing folder</strong> and matted this onto the card.<br />
<br />
I then cut the <strong>Creative Expression Sue Wilson Tethered Hearth striplet</strong> die out of sky blue card then just the out die to cut the shape in white card. I glued the blue piece onto the white card with spray glue before placing this onto the card using mounting foam.<br />
<br />
I then used the decorative centre of the <strong>Creative Expression Sue Wilson Canadian Collection Toronto</strong> die on sky blue card which again was attached to the card with mounting foam. I then cut on the sentiment from the <strong>Creative Expression Sue Wilson Expressions Collection Ornate Oval Special Day</strong>, three times in white card before stacking them together with spray glue and attaching this to the decorative centre.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmtyhtuZfYvzdCwXlVmtPhG8pTCHkdxu_0OIvj24kuYM4igMXoE5P5UPW2BQepSa6Jr9DdwdEcyjRQZ_VmZdYWDfsYU__qgoz-7NVKmH1c5eWAynDJw-a73XG5hSTHTpL0gqRkJgpkOrE/s1600/DSC00417.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmtyhtuZfYvzdCwXlVmtPhG8pTCHkdxu_0OIvj24kuYM4igMXoE5P5UPW2BQepSa6Jr9DdwdEcyjRQZ_VmZdYWDfsYU__qgoz-7NVKmH1c5eWAynDJw-a73XG5hSTHTpL0gqRkJgpkOrE/s320/DSC00417.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I cut some flowers in white and sky blue using the <strong>Creative Expression Sue Wilson Finishing Touches Collection Camellia Complete Petal</strong> backing them with <strong>Creative Expressions Finishing Touches Collection Splendid Swirls</strong>. These were then put onto the card to make a little corsage.<br />
<br />
I then finished off with some pearls down the edges.<br />
<br />
My friends where overjoyed with the finished article.<br />
<br />
I hope you like it and thank you for visiting.<br />

<br />
Hello again. Wow I am doing so well in keeping up with posting, long may it continue. I thought I would make another card suitable for the men in our lives because I always find it so difficult.<br />
<br />
I took a 6" x 6" card and matted it with <strong>Creative Expressions Foundation Card (Cobalt)</strong> and a white pierced edged card. I then took some more Cobalt coloured card and centred the large cutting die from the <strong>Sue Wilson California Collection - San Fransisco</strong> die and ran it though the Grand Calibur. <br />
<br />
I then embossed this card with the <strong>Die'Sire Picnic Plaid</strong> embossing folding. The card was then foam mounted onto the base card. I cut the largest decorative die from the same die set in Cobalt coloured card and recessed into the aperture created on the embossed card using spray glue.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi066rkF25ZovBbEYiqkoi7hi3kn4ev5XWHKpZrRjAFIIht1l3OAb45t2Yk7-Dm3Hp_H31LW76bS84pQ4ebQo3SswTN1Vrkgey07FsQGqZHle2BpoxhzMFMCbqvw7-Bc8zigyqhH2qpMuk/s1600/DSC00406.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi066rkF25ZovBbEYiqkoi7hi3kn4ev5XWHKpZrRjAFIIht1l3OAb45t2Yk7-Dm3Hp_H31LW76bS84pQ4ebQo3SswTN1Vrkgey07FsQGqZHle2BpoxhzMFMCbqvw7-Bc8zigyqhH2qpMuk/s320/DSC00406.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I then cut the smallest decorative die in white and attached as shown.<br />
<br />
I stamped the sentiment onto to some more white card and cut it out with the smallest die and before removing it from the die inked it with some <strong>Stormy Sky Tim Holtz Distress Ink</strong>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlQ3-WOlhfRYslMImVwzu0HmEBG1SCy1d9ECDVWuS-PtaCtYDUSuiHq0deTI3i3uB1Lj_V-eVZRrAUjEMGbIFLZs4Ln63ySKURKzzTPXuCIh2ovtMlhtHwzaDy1ViKtUQd49KUmDzivus/s1600/DSC00405.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlQ3-WOlhfRYslMImVwzu0HmEBG1SCy1d9ECDVWuS-PtaCtYDUSuiHq0deTI3i3uB1Lj_V-eVZRrAUjEMGbIFLZs4Ln63ySKURKzzTPXuCIh2ovtMlhtHwzaDy1ViKtUQd49KUmDzivus/s320/DSC00405.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
I cut some corners using the <strong>Spellbinders Parisian Accents</strong> and completed the card by adding some black pearls<br />
<br />
I hope you like it. Thanks for visiting.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hello again. Well the weather is still not good in fact we are getting snow at the moment. Once again a good excuse for card making.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This offering could be given not only for birthdays but for a wedding or engagement card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started by matting a piece of <strong>Creative Expressions Milk Foundation card</strong> and piercing an edge around all four sides before attaching it to a 7" x 7" card. I then cut out nine squares from the <strong>Sue Wilson Configuration Corner Squares</strong> die in the same milk card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut a piece of <strong>Creative Expressions Blush Foundation</strong> card to fit inside the pierced edge of the milk card and attached a piece of sticky adhesive sheet to it. I then added the squares to the sticky blush card, as shown, before sprinkling <strong>Cosmic Shimmer Diamond Sprinkles</strong> all over and then added to the card with mounting foam.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjO3ShZFlw9ZlCUIMtVSpyN1w30HMuDu4lnoXiZDW2menTiZikgS0sDdnHFUR_sspsglgBUB2rw-kXv2JxZtvaxVT3QzyXjC9LmRxyUs8o99P7jYfPR630KHBgv1TUap0Wm6KNVN7O6dFU/s1600/DSC00408.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjO3ShZFlw9ZlCUIMtVSpyN1w30HMuDu4lnoXiZDW2menTiZikgS0sDdnHFUR_sspsglgBUB2rw-kXv2JxZtvaxVT3QzyXjC9LmRxyUs8o99P7jYfPR630KHBgv1TUap0Wm6KNVN7O6dFU/s320/DSC00408.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The outer die of the <strong>Sue Wilson Frames & Tags Heraldic Square</strong> die was cut in blush card and the inner die cut in milk card. I glued the milk card to the blush card using spray glue and added it to the card with mounting foam.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFxEiY3PmqIjN94nBdjzx0oMvvT7WONZzrTZpYq3t_1BLTm6_6gmg0pet5HNaano6-5z1lqy2mZFlZIs5LP-jOvQr83tTXskClKpuXESuf28a_Z5Hn81J-O2LdKKaWukM9gZQzOEBKE1c/s1600/DSC00409.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFxEiY3PmqIjN94nBdjzx0oMvvT7WONZzrTZpYq3t_1BLTm6_6gmg0pet5HNaano6-5z1lqy2mZFlZIs5LP-jOvQr83tTXskClKpuXESuf28a_Z5Hn81J-O2LdKKaWukM9gZQzOEBKE1c/s320/DSC00409.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I then cut the sentiment from the <strong>Sue Wilson Expressions die, Special Day</strong> four times, 3 in white card and the final one in blush card. These were stacked one on top of each other, with the blush card on top, using spray glue. These were added to the fall away piece from the centre of the same die before adding it, again with mounting foam, to the main card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I finished off with some pearls.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I hope you like my offering. Thank you for visiting.</div>

<br />
<br />
Hello again, I thought I would share my latest card with you. Again I have used a lot of Creative Expression/Sue Wilson products. I just think they are so versatile.<br />
<br />
I cut the <strong>Sue Wilson Pierced Rose Die</strong> out of some white card. I inked the roses with <strong>Frosty Aqua Cosmic Shimmer Colour Cloud Ink</strong> before adding some Aqua Foundation Card to the back.<br />
<br />
I made a frame from the 2 largest dies in the <strong>Sue Wilson Noble Dies - Ornate Pierced Rectangles</strong> and added this to the top as shown.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibAYw9Q7pk02OWCj6dCr9zYytzhDLNvNYsGqaBvkOsZe5gPR4rzDZoQdOYj9Bz9Sv29kXozB61jOE9K02Ng2M1E6265zKQa9gbWTkcM6bhQqqJZUTBYxSf3nK7d7F9JecwHjG1JN5zqhY/s1600/DSC00420.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibAYw9Q7pk02OWCj6dCr9zYytzhDLNvNYsGqaBvkOsZe5gPR4rzDZoQdOYj9Bz9Sv29kXozB61jOE9K02Ng2M1E6265zKQa9gbWTkcM6bhQqqJZUTBYxSf3nK7d7F9JecwHjG1JN5zqhY/s320/DSC00420.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I matted and layered some Aqua card with some white card embossed using the <strong>Bed of Roses Embossing Folder from Creative Expressions</strong>. This is my favourite embossing folder and you will see it used a lot, for which I make no apologies. I placed this onto my card blank and then placed the pierced rose frame on top.<br />
<br />
I made a flower corsage using white tulle, pearl string, <strong>Sue Wilson Camellia Complete Petal</strong> flowers in Aqua and White and some leaves using Spellbinders foliage dies.<br />
<br />

<br />
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hello again. The weather here is absolutely appalling. I don't know about you but I am ready for some sunshine. There is one benefit to the awful weather and its the fact I don't feel guilty about spending time in my craft room card making. What will you be doing this week?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I am a great fan of Sue Wilson dies from Creative Expressions, you will probably realise this when you view my blogs. So here goes for the details of this card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I took a piece of Aqua foundation card and die cut it using the <strong>Italian background</strong> die from Sue Wilson. I backed it using <strong>Sticky Adhesive Sheet</strong> and sprinkled it with <strong>Cosmic Shimmer diamond sprinkle glitter jewels</strong>. before putting it onto the base card with some mounting foam.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg12PsaxyxwCMicE8Snh93sGghMNtUkN5luXDMpH2gomw6ZpHoSCE6QcM_R3stLQMXGgWwJliN7krEByjF_B3sjwsmcQcST67K-Z1b8QaP4Jx6GSFqgZ9aQzGA5DgDYLWs2eYN-FIBvk0o/s1600/DSC00403.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg12PsaxyxwCMicE8Snh93sGghMNtUkN5luXDMpH2gomw6ZpHoSCE6QcM_R3stLQMXGgWwJliN7krEByjF_B3sjwsmcQcST67K-Z1b8QaP4Jx6GSFqgZ9aQzGA5DgDYLWs2eYN-FIBvk0o/s320/DSC00403.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Using some white card from my stash I attached some sticky adhesive sheet and die cut it with the tag from the <strong>Sue Wilson Austrian Collection corner, border tag die</strong>. I then stamped the sentiment onto some Aqua foundation card, again covering it in Sticky Adhesive sheet before cutting it with the centre cutting die from the same die set. I removed the top layer from the sticky sheet on both and sprinkled them with diamond sprinkles before putting on the card again using mounting foam.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the flower I put some Sticky Adhesive sheet onto some more Aqua card and using the <strong>Sue Wilson Camellia complete petal</strong> die I cut out 2 of the medium sized flowers. I glittered the flowers before offsetting them and placed a pearl in the centre. The foliage die is from <strong>Spellbinders</strong> and before removing it from the die I inked them using <strong>Frosty Aqua Cosmic Shimmer Colour Cloud Ink</strong>. These were attached to the card with some white tulle and string pearls with glue dots.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I hope you like the card. See you soon.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hello. With the weather outside being wet and windy I am managing to get a number of cards made and have managed to keep my promise of adding another blog. Here goes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love learning different techniques and this is one of my favourites.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I took some Teal coloured Foundation Card and embossed it using the Sue Wilson Bed of Roses embossing folder. I then spread Decadent Teal Cosmic Shimmer Sparkle Texture Paste over the whole of it and left it to dry. This took about a couple of hours.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnsAmUSWI9fcRmuCUw8dnBZM7quvnHmIz8KGHWv6SmMk4H8xzvAc1EuUr44AIpFtmbxdaZu1tfc3uiznXSTxZsEVkSPeffD7OhPlJ57B9mflqJC5JpqqkD-ojOFQuhx_2yQtrzwGXX2_E/s1600/DSC00400.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnsAmUSWI9fcRmuCUw8dnBZM7quvnHmIz8KGHWv6SmMk4H8xzvAc1EuUr44AIpFtmbxdaZu1tfc3uiznXSTxZsEVkSPeffD7OhPlJ57B9mflqJC5JpqqkD-ojOFQuhx_2yQtrzwGXX2_E/s320/DSC00400.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cut a base in white using the biggest die from the Sue Wilson Canadian Collection Toronto die. Using the same die together with the next largest die and cut this out on some teal card and added it to the white base. I then used the third die and cut out the middle so it looked like a frame. I added mounting foam to this.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used the next die down and cut it out of white card. I stamped the sentiment onto teal card in Clear Perfect Medium and embossed in Silver.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<br />
I have been away from this blog for far too long due to life becoming hectic. I am now intending to post at least once a week so here goes with my latest contribution.<br />
<br />
I always find making cards for men very difficult but Sue Wilson has got the answer with her Heraldic Square die.<br />
<br />
I used pearlised card in colours brown and silver, embossing the silver card with Picnic Plaid embossing folder by Die'sire.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhw-5yKOh1SF5B729KEVhHAfBKQ-SASycfmwcKYM6fuPBvCJ-Q8B2IzemvF_diHw-lG4PFwT3KYi_fy7tc7pclUdiL2zFY66H8qTV41NTHnXTOMr6ULrEJ12HBPd9znugC5vL8Tdbe31bI/s1600/DSC00385+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhw-5yKOh1SF5B729KEVhHAfBKQ-SASycfmwcKYM6fuPBvCJ-Q8B2IzemvF_diHw-lG4PFwT3KYi_fy7tc7pclUdiL2zFY66H8qTV41NTHnXTOMr6ULrEJ12HBPd9znugC5vL8Tdbe31bI/s320/DSC00385+copy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I then cut out 2 Heraldic Squares and set them together using foam pads before stamping and embossing the sentiment onto brown card and placing in the middle of the Heraldic Square before placing it into the centre of the card. Four corners where then placed in each corner.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZStIo2iIIizDm-cT2WQGyB7mS3Z8mP7RvQiFlm8NXVW0xVu6WhQiOshDIHf53W18rQNBOgCDcgHmsCUaUDxdH4a2dhp1_5iVUV8KJZTBjIDYnKy4SzwfFcWZWOZm2SJhqlBBzMCCyMHU/s1600/DSC00386+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZStIo2iIIizDm-cT2WQGyB7mS3Z8mP7RvQiFlm8NXVW0xVu6WhQiOshDIHf53W18rQNBOgCDcgHmsCUaUDxdH4a2dhp1_5iVUV8KJZTBjIDYnKy4SzwfFcWZWOZm2SJhqlBBzMCCyMHU/s320/DSC00386+copy.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Completed card measures 7" x 7"<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I have sold my house and have been busy house hunting so have not had a lot of time for card making. I have also been in training for a long distance walk I am due to undertake with three friends. The walk is The West Highland Way which takes us from Milngavie, just outside Glasgow, to Fort William. A distance of 93 miles in 7 days. We travel to Glasgow on the Friday 17th June and start our walk the following day. With this in mind I thought I would make a card for each of my fellow walkers to mark the occasion. Imagine my delight when I saw that <a href="http://www.littleclaire.co.uk/index.asp">Little Claire</a> had brought out the most appropriate stamp - <a href="http://www.littleclaire.co.uk/productdetails.asp?ID=1528">The Great Outdoors</a>. The card shows the route of the walk on the left - I downloaded this from a West Highland Way web site - I then stamped and coloured with pro markers the image, before matting and layering, then finishing off with some card candy.<br />
<br />
I then stamped the sign post image with the boots on the inside. I decided that the locations written on the post would show the way home, the way to our destination of our walk, Fort William, and also Ben Nevis as we climbed this 2 years ago.<br />
<br />
I hope you like my effort.<br />

After doing a 14 mile walk on Sunday of the Yorkshire Wolds it was nice to settle down over thesee last few days and do some crafting. Looking at the <a href="http://littleclairesdesigns.blogspot.com/2011/04/challenge-5-animals.html">Little Claire challenge</a> I saw the theme was animals and put my thinking cap on in order to get my entries together. I needed cards for some birthdays and also a new arrival and I finally came up with the cards below.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRmatVOWE3WA1Ps-bRV-LfQhL5ib3XSv9nXmp53uIjFUh8gU4SzvxZzQy0dihjRpCtxtslqCXgQj0XYK8Gxhs7m5Zb-EvIgzhPR1tEZgZvUjKymN4YBo-U6Wkl8DFU9TjMJ-hPCme7zfA/s1600/elephant+grandparents.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="236" i8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRmatVOWE3WA1Ps-bRV-LfQhL5ib3XSv9nXmp53uIjFUh8gU4SzvxZzQy0dihjRpCtxtslqCXgQj0XYK8Gxhs7m5Zb-EvIgzhPR1tEZgZvUjKymN4YBo-U6Wkl8DFU9TjMJ-hPCme7zfA/s320/elephant+grandparents.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For this I used the <a href="http://www.littleclaire.co.uk/productdetails.asp?ID=1276">Little Claire" Lots of Fun"</a> elephant stamp which I stamped onto a Nellies Die and coloured with pro markers. I then matted it onto card embossed with a clutterbug folder design, which just seems to come in handy so many times. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNh1-UQLBqajhW7mjy5fOcnZ8KQZzyQkbOd8QKbOn_WrzkaCJMESc00mOsqoBa8LZcGS8SPbZrkVH7Ui31iR6nLkW39ISsuCxo2HmQvH1F7aVRLbj2Ro_l5M5LhyCvuzRJ4o_1rfFzCZs/s1600/HPIM2285.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="296" i8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNh1-UQLBqajhW7mjy5fOcnZ8KQZzyQkbOd8QKbOn_WrzkaCJMESc00mOsqoBa8LZcGS8SPbZrkVH7Ui31iR6nLkW39ISsuCxo2HmQvH1F7aVRLbj2Ro_l5M5LhyCvuzRJ4o_1rfFzCZs/s320/HPIM2285.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This time I used another Nellies Die and stamped using <a href="http://www.littleclaire.co.uk/productdetails.asp?ID=1311">Little Claires Big Hugs</a> stamp again coloured with Pro Markers.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Earlier in the week I had received the new <a href="http://www.littleclaire.co.uk/productdetails.asp?ID=1434">Little Claire club stamp "The Right Time"</a> which was of my favourite animal the owl. I have used all the elements I received in the pack and put my own design together. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikVNPNXIdIi949iO9D3K5I7whj-_ro4DRhf9YfB6F_vEt-KD74w3iib5nYdmIlCY0-n8bD-mAKelJj4stmDMkkOaB7Y6JuB-HS6X-th8ZE2FYbOX6ueY_mZ2vcqoBdmyP4QsQWGTz4tTI/s1600/HPIM2421.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" i8="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikVNPNXIdIi949iO9D3K5I7whj-_ro4DRhf9YfB6F_vEt-KD74w3iib5nYdmIlCY0-n8bD-mAKelJj4stmDMkkOaB7Y6JuB-HS6X-th8ZE2FYbOX6ueY_mZ2vcqoBdmyP4QsQWGTz4tTI/s320/HPIM2421.JPG" width="273" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

One of my daughter's took me out yesterday to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park as my mother's day treat, my other daughter lives quite a distance away and hubby is at the golf course.<br />
<br />
So what did I do with all this time on my hands - baked a cake (carrot) and after looking at <a href="http://littleclairesdesigns.blogspot.com/2011/04/challenge-4-spring-celebrations.html">Little Claire's new challenge</a> I decided I would spend some time in my craft room to come up with my idea for a spring card. <br />
<br />
I decided I would do a side easel card. I had just purchased some new nestabilities so I would also incorperate that. I stamped my image and coloured with pro markers. I matted and layered the image on some card from my stash embossing one of them with a clutterbug embossing folder. I then embellished with gems, card candy and gemmed flora doodles (which I also coloured with pro-markers). For the inside of the card I used some paper from the Quite Contrary/My Minds Eye stack.<br />
<br />
I hope you like my card<br />

The reason for doing this is one of the party - Mary - will be 70, although you wouldn't believe it, and she had read about the walk and liked the sound of it so she asked if we would like to join her. The four of us have done a few long distance walks over the last few years, one being the Coast to Coast. In prepartion for the WHW Mary and I decided we would do some extra walks during the week, we usually walk with a walking club every Sunday. A local long distance walk in our area is the Minster Way - walking from Beverley Minster to York Minster (50 miles) therefore this seemed and ideal opportunity to do the walk as training and today we did the first 10.5 miles - Beverley to Kilnwick. <br />
<br />
The weather was brilliant, the walking easy along field paths and roads. During our lunch stop in the church yard in Scourton we heard a woodpecker and saw a pheasant chasing a stoat, and the bird song was wonderful. It was so peaceful.<br />
<br />
It was lovely to walk in our local area as we normally travel a little further afield. It was also nice to see the villages of Arram, Scourton, Lockington and Kilnwick in more details as these are usually by passed when we drive by.<br />
<br />
The only down side of the day was that I forgot my camera - what a numpty.<br />
<br />
Can't wait for the next section - hope the weather is as good.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03203981133449654800noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6901378025179020062.post-83932098512403966012011-03-07T14:23:00.000+00:002011-03-07T14:23:08.227+00:00<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhda7z5sMU-8YfXIDTWF1v8Bzkf5rAHJo-PUcbR6zVXOK0b2XTJxFyioRfqWO2LxbVWtt43KyxQbv8xOYa3X7fyryjmf7gl1YYc1aF_sVSziSZJc5L4e2XjNWEFfldUpOucFYWFa_R-7uY/s1600/HPIM2278.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" q6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhda7z5sMU-8YfXIDTWF1v8Bzkf5rAHJo-PUcbR6zVXOK0b2XTJxFyioRfqWO2LxbVWtt43KyxQbv8xOYa3X7fyryjmf7gl1YYc1aF_sVSziSZJc5L4e2XjNWEFfldUpOucFYWFa_R-7uY/s320/HPIM2278.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
